I have a long way to go and a short time to get there. -- from "East Bound and Down"
There's a good reminder for staying in the Now. Face it, there is no shorter time than now...actually, no longer time either. Now is all the time there is...literally and esoterically. Interestingly, esoterically causes us pause and brings peace. Literally, it's kind of a throw-away truth. According to me.
If we're going to start...anything...we just and must start Now. Whenever we finish...there it is again: Now.
Knowing the truth of Now is all well and good, but I suspect we don't get the gift of realization of its gut-bucket reality until after we've completed whatever task we're doubting we can do. And we are doubting or we wouldn't be needing the golden goose of Now.
My rule is whatever tool it takes that the God of my understanding would approve of is a good tool to use. Pray for peace and go for it.
When (not if) wrong, promptly admit it. Ah, the key that opens the door for God to perfect whatever it is we've screwed up. Win-win.
Thank you.
