GRATEFULLY WE SEEK HIS PRUNING

Think of My trees--stripped of their beauty, pruned, cut, disfigured, bare, but through the dark seemingly dead branches, flows silently, secretly, the spirit-life-sap, till, lo! with the sun of Spring comes new life, leaves, bud, blossom, fruit, but oh! fruit a thousand times better for the pruning. -- God Calling, February 10

Maybe we'd best develop the consciousness of nature...of rain, showing no favor (judging not), falls on the just and the unjust alike, of trees growing in yards and on hills, stripped bare in the fall, showing lush and green in the spring. Nature wants naught, ever meeting its needs from within.

Our need is God's will. What we need is already ours...our job is to realize that. What we want, we may or may not get, and, if we get, will likely come to regret.

There it is...the prayer answered even as we pray it: Thank you, Father, for my everything just as it is right this very instant. Thy will, not mine, be done.

Thank you.
