Another...maybe the hardest...lesson we learn is that fear is never lifted out of us. We hear that, reject it, hear it enough and think we've got it...but reason is the stonewall to acceptance. Even while we are knowing (from experience) that until we accept that which we are reluctantly learning, we will be stayed in our own perceptions.
Since fear is never lifted out of us, we must needs welcome it. Which means we are lifted way deeper to reach understanding of that welcome.
We can use fear as opposed to letting fear use us. We can think of it as God's torch lighting our way as we make our turnaround back to him...from fear to thank you.
Learning to welcome fear is akin to learning to love our enemy, a spiritual direction that by its nature will never make a lick of sense to our reasoning mind. Again, we must go beyond reason to love.
It is beyond reason where we find the gold we seek, the peace that passes understanding. We know the peace we seek is beyond the reasoning mind, that all our thinking has been done for us, yet still we keep thinking, trying to break the code.
Comes the dawn! The code is: Go to God for God and that is all.
The human condition is such that few there be who, knowing the code, loose fear and let it go. Love and laugh.
Thank you.
