THE OLD MADE NEW AGAIN...AND AGAIN

I meditate every morning on the 23rd Psalm, and often I get a glimpse of a new and different meaning, but mostly I get the same-old-same-old only entirely applicable to my problem du jour.

This is a s-o-s-o with the generic Gertrude whose angel wings flap in my face whenever they want to: Thou prepares a place before me in the presence of my enemies.

Deny we will, but accept we must: Always my enemies are me, myself and i, and that is all. Harrumph to Gertrude and her/his angel wings...kiss 'em on the lips, and pray thank you for the privilege.

Another old newbie: Seek ye first the kingdom of heaven, and all these things shall be added unto you

The hidden, found, forgotten, recalled fact: The kingdom of heaven, the Father's hidey-hole, is within. That is, within our very own self and soul. We find that, seek to settle there (an always search, we learn), and all else, diamonds, dollars and glory, are as dust on the wind...they matter not.

An aside about our Father within, a.k.a., love: It is ever with/within us, was born with/within us, can never not be with/within us. Whether we know it or not. Whether we accept it or not. And our reasoning mind is the last to know. We must go beyond reason to love.

Go beyond reason to love - it is safe. It is the only safety. Love all you can, and when you are ready all will be shown to you. --  Thaddeus Golas, "The Lazy Man's Guide to Enlightenment," p. 104.

Thank you.
