LIFE IS A RECONCILIATION IN LOVE

If you go on working with the light available, you will meet your Master, as he himself will be seeking you. -- Ramana Maharshi

That sentence ever reminds me of one very similar in C. S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia. Specifically, in "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe," Aslan the Lion assures the lost children that they had no cause to panic for as they were frantically searching for him, already he was on the way to them.

That sentence changed me...turned me from fearfully searching for a God of my own understanding to silently pondering the mystery of God. I began meditating daily.

The freedom I have received from my daily meet-ups is beyond price...a lot of which I realize only in looking back. In seeing the path I have walked, often figuratively beating my breast and wailing, I am opened to the realization of God's work perfected in humility.

Humility...my rues, regrets and remorses made gold.

Comes another awakening: Remorses are useless until we share them. Then they are transmuted from self-centered pain into the healing power of selflessness...for the benefit of another. Ah, and a hundred times out of a hundred through love and laughter.

Life, its pain and its power, is singularized in Rohr's "Daily Meditation" today: The whole story flows toward reconciliation, not in human creeds or constitutions, but in love, the love of the One who gave us being and life. . .

Thank you.
