With that in mind, my first flash that fear is God in camouflage calling me through the briars and brambles to Him is asking for another look.
That second look came by way of another flash: There are no briars and brambles, there is naught but God.
I accept that for truth...for Now.
However, when (not if) the reasoning mind takes charge and my innards start to run scared, I find it helpful to remind myself "fear is God in camouflage"...and I shoot my thank you prayer.
Here it is, my go-to mental picture...God, appearing as Jesus my Mentor, Mary my Nana, Joseph my Homie and all my Angels, is present to me as, if and when I knowingly or unknowingly call for God. By my thank you, I am readied.
I choose to accept this as a gift of my reasoning mind on its way to giving over to God. With second thoughts being perfectly acceptable...invited, in fact.
God is so good to me. You, too.
Thank you.
