What you see is always yourself. -- "A Gift of Peace, Selections From 'A Course in Miracles'"
I see Mathilda and think liar; Mathilda sees me and thinks liar. To love the one we see is God's will and our charge.
I see Mortimer and think phony; Mortimer sees me and thinks phony. To love the one we see is God's will and our charge.
It matters not who or what represents the thorn that turns us around...we need to know each as our invited thorn not to be blunted but to be loved as our angel who served its Now purpose.
We need only get grateful for this that we bring to God...not in prayer for our burden to be lifted, but in thanks for the gift of the burden, our new path leading us Home.
Here then is God's will and rational mind working together for our good: Everything can be taken from [us] but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way. -- Viktor Frankl, "Man’s Search for Meaning"
