GOD MEETS US WHERE WE ARE

We like to imagine that Jesus did not doubt or ever question his Father’s love. The much greater message is that in his humanity, he did flinch, did ask questions, did have doubts—and still remained faithful. I choose to believe this is the path I am on today...the panic attacks, the free-floating anxiety, fear...all are God calling me to God. And I am grateful. Grateful because I remain faithful which is close enough to perfect for me.

I also choose to believe that the path I am on at anytime, not just the less-than-wonderful times, but the fun times, the quiet times, the loving times, all are God calling me to  God. When I call that to mind, I am peaced.

The question is, why don't I call it to mind before I go into panic-mode? I'm convinced that is me doing it right...God knows what I need, and since nothing turns me to God faster than fear, I go there first. 

God meets us where we are.
