The sacred scriptures of all faiths call us to love as we have never loved before. This requires effort, vigilance, and radical humility. -- spiritual teacher Mirabai Starr
My beloved friend Linda fell and hit her head. A blood clot formed on her brain, and the doctors were unable to save her. She passed at 1:39 PM. I am, and I'm certain sure that all who knew her are, devastated.
I had been mentally wrestling with "radical humility" and had most of my post written with that as the subject.
I am reminded yet again that God knows our needs.
Instantly, I faced the unwanted humility of accepting my dear friend's death as is, best course of action, God's will, and...harder still...that, specifically, God's will is better than my will.
Radical humility must come when I can welcome that by believing it. I'm not there yet. I trust God to make it so, and I pray my thank you.
Thank you.
