TO AWAKEN FROM OUR ILLUSION...LOVE

I just came across a 2011 note to myself, Guide my thoughts, not guard my thoughts.

It's interesting that I'd come across this today since I've only recently committed to a regimen based in a meditation of loving my thoughts...meaning I want to love my darkest thoughts just as I joy in my grace-given thoughts...to count them both as one.

I believe, as the quote attributed to Thich Nhat Hanh states, We are here to awaken from the illusion of our separateness. The surest way to that awakening is through love...to love our humiliations (which are humility aborning after all) just as we love our glories simply as reflections of others' loving views of us.

I'm saying that life itself is love...it isn't that we need to learn to love, it is that we need to use the love that is born within us. It probably starts with our becoming willing to love that which we don't. To that  point, as Saint Francis said, we have to find a way interiorly to love...not talk about it, but do it. Which can only be done successfully from within where our Father lives.

It is in that great unknown-to-me that miracles materialize...we pray thank you and God's you're welcome transforms us and our problem.

In the end, we may discover, as Ram Dass put it, We are all just walking each other home.

Thank you.
