Now, this very minute is God's gift to us...God's gift planned by Him for us personally. How we interpret our individual Now is on us.
Our journey will go best for us and for our friends and un-friends if our interpretation, our life, is determined by spiritual rules...the laws, the commandments and the steps we take daily...rather than by our own self-determined objectives.
Even with our best intentions in interpreting our Now, God's gift, the results are often a huge uh-oh, or Big Mistake. It is the human condition to seek first for the benefit of self...it is spiritual longing that turns us in the right direction.
Some of us would never have made that U-bie without having made our mistake(s). Ah, and there's our sliver of gold. Hold it close, pray thank you, love and laugh.
God's in his Heaven, all's right with the world.
