We must make a decision to be a spiritual seeker, and it matters not if it is a conscious or unconscious decision. It is very often only in looking back that we recognize the time and the circumstances...the when and why...of making our decision.
When we make that decision, we surrender. That is, over time, over time, over time, we give up all our good ideas of how our being a spiritual seeker will and must look.
We are never adequately prepared for the bumpy road ahead. The bumpy road is a puzzlement...telling our reasoning mind to turn back, we've made a wrong turn, while our Father within, our spiritual need, moves us forward.
According to me, resistance becomes our tell. Resistance is born, bred, raised and persistently lives in the reasoning mind. Trying not to resist is resistance. Paradoxically, within our spiritual growth, quite often the more resistant we are, the nearer we are to our breakthrough.
Spiritually, we must go beyond resistance to the love of our resistance...when we can hug it and kiss it and let it go.
There are no guarantees...if there could be a guarantee, I'm guessing it would be that we can never know beforehand the outcome of our Father's perfect will for us.
We can only be sure that on awakening, we will love and laugh.
Thank you.
