Blinding flash of the obvious: There is only one mistake in God's world, and that is taking oneself too seriously.
It is that mistake in God's world that leads to our many mistakes in the material world.
The taproot of ego is taking oneself too seriously. It is in self-forgetting that we find that
there is no self to protect. Trying to spiritualize self is a self-determined objective, and there is no God there.
Looking back, I realize it was my own words seeking understanding from others that are now my bane. For others can only hear from their own self, can only interpret as their own self speaks to them. Which explains the stricture, 'Tell no man.' (Matthew 16:13-20).
Seek not the understanding of others...tell no man, tell no woman...do that which we are asking God to do for us. Instead of seeking the understanding of others.
