FEAR NOT UNPOPULARITY...IT'S OUR GLORY!

From the February 23rd comic strip Candorville: I agree with Cicero. He said, 'I have always been of the opinion that unpopularity earned by doing what is right is not unpopularity at all...but Glory!

How delightful is that? Cicero, who was born B.C., which was even before they changed it to B.C.E., or C.E., knew that and said so!

At any rate, that quote led me to the thought that the egoic reasoning mind careens, bringing either self-satisfied glory or self-inflicted pain (my ego Lucy's world); the spiritually centered mind expresses at a snail's pace (Jesus carrying The Cross).

From my eyebrows up, I know that I have all the love, all the patience, that there is to have. It is using that love, that patience, that seems to Lucy like The Cross. The reasoning mind gets stuck in imagining the thorns, the pain...the hassle! Ah, but it is in actually carrying The Cross, i.e., giving in, giving over, giving up, that we realize that love is weightless and brings only peace. He ain't heavy, He's my Father.

Thank you.
