Recent expansion of that BFO: It is not our material mind to which the change refers, it is the spiritual mind which is ever in a state of upgrade...rarely consciously realized.
The spiritual mind is moved higher by going deeper...out of self-determined reason into God-guided intuition. It changes from I'm right/you're wrong to neither is right nor wrong, just a loving acceptance of what is...Now.
We cannot "do" this, we cannot control this, we can only practice the principles of mutual apology, healing and forgiveness.
Perfectly put, from Fr Richard's Daily Meditation today: Jesus, many mystics, and other wisdom traditions—such as the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous—show that sin and failure are, in fact, an opportunity for the transformation and enlightenment of the offender.
Regret not our sins and failures for they are opportunities for our transformation and enlightenment. It all begins, and more importantly grows, with forgiveness...accepting God's forgiveness and extending that same forgiveness now made our own.
