We who fear are blessed for our very fear turns us toward a Higher Power. Those of us who also have been blessed with the gift of desperation know that the power we seek must be a power for good for we have already walked with the meanest power...and found fear beyond imagining.
We can accept (which happens in God's own time) that the fear we are feeling is that Higher Power whispering an invitation to come rest with him, our Father. Simplified, our new goal is to accept fear as God's calling card.
Accepting it as such by praying our thank you, we begin to know freedom from self-centered fear. From which, who's kidding whom, we will never be entirely free. There. We have come full circle: We who fear are blessed for our very fear turns us toward a Higher Power.
The secret to living in a peace that passes understanding: Whenever a dread, i.e., fear, comes to mind, immediately if not sooner acknowledge and welcome that dread as God's perfect gift to us personally. That eliminates our egoic itch to analyze it into reality.
We now have a spiritual focus, learning to live in the light of welcome. That singular focus can and will establish us in a love beyond reasoning.
