What is awful to our natural eye is God's gift...our new view is instantaneous recognition that God's hand is in less-than-wonderful appearing. The Trump presidency, the Mueller Report and AG Barr...my little Ruckus going back to Heaven too soon...God's hand is in it.
Here's a kicker: When we go all up in our head, trying to reason goodness in any apparently less-than-wonderful situation, we are playing at God's work. The conundrum may be that is our starting point...our training wheels if you will...thinking it through, but our need is to delay not, to detach and move on.
Hard lesson learning (but aren't they all?): Pondering it all is usually necessary to begin to change, but the sooner we can let go of "making" it good and realize that it is already God's good just as it is...without knowing how and/or why...the more secure our spiritual understanding grows.
Another paradox: The less our reasoning mind is involved, the clearer our spiritual path is. Which invites this imponderable: God loves Donald Trump, Pope Francis, you and me equally.
